The Step By Step Non-Profit foundation addresses the growing number of Baby Boomers without home care coverage. Yet they are discharged from the hospital alone with no assistance.

Most school teachers, nurses and the Middle class population are affected by this omitted coverage.

Our Services

Our home care team provides a “one stop shop” for a fullrange of non-medical services to help you or your loved one live at home and maintain the independence and quality of life that you or your loved one enjoys.

We will meet with you and your family members to discuss options and to assess the services needed.

Since everyone’s needs are unique, an individual care plan will be developed and periodic updates will be given, noting  changes in condition or to recommending additional services.

In-Home Care

Your caregiver will come to your home   or retirement facility to provide non-medical home care that you request. This service is provided from 2 to 24 hours a day. Services may include assistance with getting ready in the morning or going to bed at night, preparing meal, light housekeeping, medication reminders, or simple companionship conversation.

We will take you to doctor appointment, the pharmacy, grocery store, beauty shop, or errands.

Grocery Shopping and Meal Preparation

You may not need a caregiver, but would like a balanced meal prepared periodically. We can arrange for someone to buy the groceries and prepare meals as ofter as needed.

Consultation Services

If you have ever been a patient in the hospital, you know how difficult it is to understand the numerous bills that your receive.

We will review the bills with you to determine what is covered by Medicaid and the protion that is covered by Meidcare or other insurance.  We will also discuss the lower price options that are available.

If you are the caregiver in the home, you need a break to run necessary errands, attend social visits, or make and out-of-town trip.  We will arrange for a caregiver to come to you for the time period needed.

Hospital Companion Care

We will stay with your loved one in the hospital, day or night, to provide the comfort an nursing care needed and allow you to go home and rest.  Private Pay and Private Insurance Only.

Daily/Weekly Phone Calls

If daily in-home care is not necessary, we will place a phone call to the resident on the established days established in the care plan to determine if anything is needed.
